Water Heater Installations & Service

Often the most overlooked appliance within the home or business space. Water heaters require annual maintenance to ensure the tank, anode rod and overall efficiency stays at peak performance. All water heaters at some point in their life will require flushes to restore the original capacity of the system. Whether its a heat pump water heater, electric, indirect, gas or oil-fired water heater, they all need service!

  • Electric water heaters have anode rods to protect the tank and ensure the elements do not corrode

  • Heat pump water heaters are no different than the heat pump on your wall except they make hot water instead of providing comfort. They still have backup electric elements and an anode rod. Often they are installed too close to the ceiling and never serviced.

  • Indirect water heaters are similar to electric water heaters, except their capacity is based off the boiler they’re connected to. They still have anode rods and require flushing.

  • Gas-fired units such as the popular Rinnai Tankless models require the same service as a gas-fired boiler. Including flushing and cleaning the heat exchanger. Almost every homeowner we’ve serviced had no idea what the inside of their system looked like.

  • Gas-fired standalone units with natural chimney draft or power vented systems contain an anode rod just like electrics.

  • Oil-fired water heaters have a small heat exchanger requiring service. No different than an oil-fired boiler.
